PATCHWORK DANCE COMPANY is a regional, non-profit, contemporary company dedicated to enriching audiences through performances and outreach programs. Patchwork performs choreography of both nationally recognized and resident choreographers.

Founded by Artistic Director, Debbie Werbrouck, Patchwork has provided benefits to the Michiana community since 1977. Patchwork’s performance season includes three full concerts and multiple community performances and events.

The season begins with “Artistic Fusion”, an event that includes an exhibition of area artists, along with live performances by Patchwork and area musicians.

The annual holiday story-in-dance performance has included two original productions, “Christopher’s Christmas,”  Michiana’s own holiday tradition for forty years, and the newest addition, “Greta’s Gift.”

The season culminates in a spring concert that showcases the work of both guest and resident choreographers.

Patchwork’s dedication to the arts has reached into the realm of education through special youth concerts, in-school workshops, and lecture demonstrations. The acclaimed “Academics in Action” program has brought learning to life for primary grade students.

Patchwork’s impact has extended beyond the Michiana community with performances, lecture demonstrations, workshops and master classes. The city of Chicago, Triton and Saint Mary’s Colleges, and Chicago National Association of Dance Masters are a few of the hosts of Patchwork performances. In addition to performances in the US, Patchwork has also enjoyed a performance tour of England and Scotland.
